Chesterfield Official Contacts

Chesterfield County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or obtain an official booking record. Contact the responsible office below for current information or a government-held record.

Where Chesterfield Records Belong

Chesterfield County divides police, jail, FOIA, and court work across different custodians. The Jail Operations pages do not provide a public roster or recent-bookings feed, so the jail telephone is for current inmate bond or release questions, not an online lookup. For an adult booking record or routine intake photograph, identify the Sheriff or Jail Operations as the custodian and make a reasonably specific request under Virginia FOIA.

Use the source that matches the record type and custody stage.

  • For a local adult booking record, custody question, or routine intake photo request, begin with the Sheriff or Jail Operations and the county records reference.
  • For a CCPD arrest report or incident record, contact Police Records or use the county Public Records Center.
  • For a possible county warrant or summons, consult the official Most Wanted information and the court's safe-resolution route.
  • For court status after an arrest, use the Virginia General District Court case system, select Chesterfield GDC, then contact a court clerk when an official record is needed.
  • For a person in state custody or supervision, use the VADOC locator. It does not cover every new Chesterfield booking.
  • For federal custody, use the BOP Inmate Locator. For ICE or CBP detention, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator.
